Shorty now has a molar

No pictures yet, still to come. Shorty's first molar erupted yesterday morning. This means he can bite even harder, but chew more food.

4th of July at Grandma/Grandpa

We had a blast in Utah for the 4th. Shorty went on a slide of the first time, sat on Grandpa's tractor and learning to play the piano, and just hanging out. It was pretty low key, which we like.

Shorty's Surgery

This is Shorty's last surgery, the Nissen Fundoplication. He went into the hospital on June 20 and came home June 22.
We are posting some pictures of the hospital stay, we need to be able to show him right....He is such a fighter.

Shorty's first Birthday

Shorty is now 1. Well, he has been for a month now, but it is a milestone anyway. We had a great day.
Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Anna came up from Utah. Are neighbors also joined us for a BQ and cake. We kept it low key since Brandon was having surgery the next day.

It has been a very long year, but in the end, we have come closer as a family and realized how much we really do love each other, and even though Shorty has had all these health problems and surgeries he is the happiest baby we have ever seen. Always has a smile on his face and tries to make other people smile. What a trooper. We really do feel that he is are miracle child, and are so blessed to have him apart of our family.

We are also very thankful to both sides of the family, Dave's and Maggie's for their prayers, support, encouragement. We know we are far from all of you and can not be here all the time but the phone calls, letters, and prayers were very helpful and appreciated.

We hope for a better year and having each and everyone of you apart of it. We love you all.

Brandon update

As you know Brandon has had a few surgeries since May, and we think he is finally getting better. We did have some ups and downs especially from his fundoplication, this is where they wrap a stomach muscle around the esophagus. They put him on some Reglan to help with the digestion and now he is eating solids and he has started drinking milk, yep that is right MILK. He is on day 7 of 10 for a milk challenge. As early as Monday, we could be off Elecare completely. I do not know what we will do with all that money. We are excited to let him try ice cream, cheese, yogurt, and chocolate milk.

His activity level has also increased, if that is possible. He has started to run in place, climbing on the recliner, dancing and signing. He is SO CUTE. He is so happy. He is starting to voice his dislikes. He will let you know when he wants something. He just loves to play. We love to play with him.

Thank you everyone for your prayers for Brandon during his hard time. We are hoping the hard times are behind us and we can worry about normal things.
